This year at NNF can be seen a stronger presence of the Nordic region with the event itself arrange in Stockholm, Sweden this time. Main Partners this year include as well Swedish partners Vattenfall and Uniper among the Finnish companies TVO, Fortum and VTT. The event is organized in Nordic collaboration by Finnish nuclear association FinNuclear in co-operation with NuclearSweden and Norwegian Nuclear Association. The strong collaboration between the Nordic countries gives an amazing opportunity to expand the knowledge of nuclear solutions and innovations between the countries as well as creating new collaborations and expanding network.

Vattenfall is a major Swedish state-owned energy company that plays a significant role in energy supply in Northern Europe. Nuclear is a core part of its fossil-free generation mix, supplying reliable, low-carbon electricity alongside renewables and hydro. Vattenfall is the majority owner of five operating reactors in Sweden, three in Forsmark and two in Ringhals and has extensive experience in nuclear operations as well as decommissioning and waste management. Beyond maintaining and developing its existing nuclear fleet, Vattenfall is deeply involved in planning for additional nuclear capacity via small modular reactors (SMRs) at its Ringhals site. The existing as well as future broad portfolio of the entire nuclear life cycle will continue the need to develop collaborations and partnerships across the Supply Chain. You can meet the representatives of Vattenfall in NNF at exhibition booth G3.
Uniper is an international energy company and a major power producer in Sweden, where it operates a diversified portfolio including nuclear power, hydropower, reserve power and emerging hydrogen production to support system stability and energy security as the Nordic energy system continues to evolve. Nuclear power is a central part of Uniper’s Swedish portfolio. Sweden has three active nuclear power plants: OKG in Oskarshamn, Ringhals and Forsmark. Uniper has a unique position as a joint owner in all three. The company is the majority owner of OKG and a minority owner of Ringhals and Forsmark, contributing to the production of reliable fossil-free electricity for the Nordic power system. Uniper also owns Barsebäck, Sweden’s first commercial nuclear power plant. Barsebäck 1 and 2 and Oskarshamn 1 and 2 are currently being safely dismantled in line with the Swedish model where plant owners take full responsibility throughout the entire lifecycle of nuclear facilities. You can meet the representatives of Uniper in NNF at exhibition booth G4.
Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) is a Finnish nuclear power company founded in 1969 that owns and operates the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Eurajoki, Finland. It produces large-scale low-carbon electricity to meet Finland’s energy needs and supplies power to its shareholders based on the cost-price principle. TVO plays a significant role in Finland’s energy system, with its Olkiluoto units generating roughly a third of the country’s electricity and contributes to energy security and climate goals alongside renewable energy sources. Moreover, the world’s first final disposal facility for spent nuclear fuel is under construction in Olkiluoto. The company and its subsidiaries also engage in nuclear services and waste management as part of their long-term, safe operation of nuclear power facilities.

Fortum is a Nordic energy company. It generates and delivers reliable energy to its customers and to the Nordic energy system, while also helping industries decarbonize their processes and grow. Approximately half of its low‑carbon power generation consists of nuclear power. Fortum has over 45 years of experience in safe nuclear operations. It fully owns the Loviisa nuclear power plant in Finland and co‑owns plants in Olkiluoto, Finland, as well as Forsmark and Oskarshamn in Sweden. Fortum has strong in‑house engineering and project competence, enabling it to offer services across the entire lifecycle of a nuclear power plant to customers worldwide. You can meet the representatives of Fortum in NNF at exhibition booth G6.
VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is a leading Finnish research and technology organisation that conducts wide-ranging work to support safe, sustainable and innovative nuclear energy. Its nuclear research covers everything from reactor safety and radioactive waste management to advanced modelling, licensing support, plant life-cycle services and next-generation technologies such as small modular reactors (SMRs) and fusion. VTT provides experimental and computational infrastructure, expert analysis and services to regulators and industry partners in Finland and internationally, and participates in major European nuclear research networks and programmes.
