István Szőke is Chief Scientist at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) and Acting Director of the Norwegian Nuclear Association. He has over 20 years of experience in nuclear energy and radiation protection, with a focus on digitalisation, simulation, and robotics for safe and efficient lifecycle management.

He is the founder of DigiDECOM and the HADRON laboratory, and contributed to establishing IFE as an IAEA International Collaborating Centre. His current work focuses on Digital Twins, artificial intelligence, and competence development for future nuclear and safety-critical applications.
