Dr. Erika Holt is a Technical Lead for Nuclear Back End issues at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. She has a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington in the USA and has been working at VTT for 30 years in various roles as a research expert, team leader and customer manager in radioactive waste issues. She was recently the co-coordinator of the 24 m€ Euratom PREDIS project on pre-disposal radioactive waste management that addressed challenging waste streams and innovation for low and intermediate level waste.

Dr. Holt is currently in the programme management office of the EURAD-2 joint partnership on radioactive waste management an is also serving as the Vice-Chair of the Management Board for the NEA’s WISARD project on SMR and AMR waste management.
