Anni Jaarinen has been leading the nuclear service business at Fortum since May 2021. Fortum’s services cover the entire lifecycle of a nuclear facility – from the design and licensing of new nuclear power plants to safe and efficient operation, and ultimately to decommissioning and final disposal of nuclear waste. The service offering is built on Fortum’s extensive in-house nuclear expertise and decades of experience as a nuclear operator.

Before her current role, Anni Jaarinen was responsible for developing and launching the nuclear decommissioning and waste management business as part of Fortum’s nuclear service portfolio. She has a technical background in nuclear process engineering and over 18 years of experience in the nuclear industry.

Anni Jaarinen is also a member of the Board of Directors at Posiva Oy, the company responsible for the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel in Finland. She holds a Master’s degree of Science in Power Engineering and Reactor Technology.
