Philippe Bordarier

Chief Nuclear Officer, PEJ

Philippe has been involved in the nuclear industry for more than 20 years. After VP roles within the French Nuclear Safety Authority and the Mining Industry, he joined EDF in 2009 to be appointed Station Director of the Cruas-Meysse nuclear power station in the South of France. He developed his international management and Nuclear Operations skills as Chief Nuclear Officer for Region 2 of EDF Energy in the UK, and took the Hinkley Point C Project Director role in 2016. After different senior executive roles within the Nuclear Engineering Division of EDF, he joined Fennovoima in Helsinki as Chief Operating Officer, in charge of both developing the Owner-Operator and the Hanhikivi-1 nuclear project. He joined PEJ as Chief Nuclear Officer in January 2023 and also took the role of NPP1 Project Director in October 2023. He holds a PhD in Physics from Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. He is a father of 4.
