Liisa Heikinheimo has been the Deputy Director General (Nuclear Energy and Fuels) at the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment since 2017.

She currently serves also as a member of European Council Atomic Questions WP, topical in 2019 Finnish Presidency. Previous positions include R&D Manager at TVO in 2008-2016 and Technology Manager at VTT until 2008.

Liisa Heikinheimo holds M.Sc from Aalto University, Finland and D.Sc from Technical University of Eindhoven, NL.
