Edvin Edvardsen has recently taken om the role as senior adviser and project coordinator at the Institue for Energy Technology. Amongst many things, he will oversee projects on nuclear safety and security in Ukraine and Central-Asia, as well as serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Nuclear Council. He is also involved in projects on competence development, technologies and decommissioning.

Prior to joining the Institute, Edvin served as a civil servant in the Norwegian Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) as an adviser on international nuclear safety and security, with special focus on EEA-countries and Ukraine. He came to DSA from the role of Public Affairs Officer at Norwegian Nuclear Decommissioning. Prior to his nuclear career, Edvin was a trainee in EU-policy making in Brussels, as well as at the Norwegian embassy in Lithuania.

He holds a MSc in Diplomacy from Durham University.
