Jarmo Tanhua has acquired 28 years of experience in the nuclear power industry at Teollisuuden Voima Oyj. He has worked as a planning and project engineer in the electrical engineering and been involved in modernization of the power plants first as a project team member then also as a project manager. When being in charge of the Electrical and Automation Maintenance he gathered most of his practical experience of the nuclear power production and safety culture issues attached.

The work in the Power Plant Engineering Department gave him an excellent view of the plant life extension and modernisation programs as well as the overall management of the company.
During the last 10 years, he has been the CEO and President of Teollisuuden Voima Oyj. Most of the tasks are related to the construction and completion of the new nuclear power plant, OL3. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Posiva, where he has been involved in the development, approval phase and construction of the first final disposal facility of the used nuclear fuel in the world.
