As an optional program for attendees, there will be site visit opportunities on the last day of Nordic Nuclear Forum.

What should be considered for the visit
— Visitors arrange their trip to Oulu city center or to Oulu airport, from where the bus organised by Nordic Nuclear Forum departures on February 7th. Help for travel planning from here.

Hanhikivi 1 is the biggest investment project in Finland. The project is now at its licensing phase and we are working towards construction license. Meanwhile at the site, preparing work is done: support buildings and infrastructures. –Fennovoima

The hot functional testing has now been successfully completed and the schedule for the next phases has been defined. The whole commissioning is performed with utmost care, without compromise. We will have a modern and safe plant, and its commissioning will strengthen our know-how for the operating phase. -Jouni Silvennoinen, Director of the OL3 Project.

ONKALO has aided in collecting the data needed for the application for the final disposal facility construction licence which was granted in November 2015. In addition to facilitating bedrock research, ONKALO also provides an opportunity to develop excavation techniques and final disposal techniques in realistic conditions. Later, the ONKALO facilities can be put into use when building and using the repository -Posiva
